MacAlly's BTMicro Portable Bluetooth Mouse is pretty decent, all in all. It's
tiny, cute, and has left and right buttons and a clickable scroll wheel. It comes with a cute little charging cradle and pairs easily
with OS X's Bluetooth Setup Assistant. It's well made and pretty reasonably priced, too. On the other hand, here at the cafe where I'm writing this I had to put the thing on a napkin
to get it to work - the optical tracking system's kind of sensitive about what surfaces it likes to work on. Then again, so's the tracker in my desktop mouse at home. It's just
that there I have a mouse pad.The thing with this is that I thnk I just don't mind using the trackpad
when I'm working on my iBook away from home. That and I don't really like "travel size" mice very much. My hands are kind of big and
my fingers are pretty nimble. So trackpadding works for me. I installed Sidetrack on my machine so I could do vertical scrolling,
too (even though it's purported to be a memory leaker). If you're in the market for a portable Bluetooth mouse, the BTMicro is
worth a look. Me, I think I'll stick with my trackpad and maybe check out their full sized BTMouse
for desktop use at home.
